Q:  How long is my ServSafe certification valid?

A:  5 years from the date the certificate was issued. 

Q:  Is my ServSafe certificate valid outside Georgia?

A:  Yes, the ServSafe program is a national program that should transfer with you from job to job, even outside the state of Georgia.

Q:  How do I take the online exam?

A:  You must first complete a food safety training program approved by the state. Then either you or the proctor will purchase an exam seat registration number from ServSafe. Once you have the seat registration number you may take the online exam in the presence of a certified exam proctor.
